Goodbye to all the old ways
and all that I'd do
For my days are different now
and starting anew
I think of my childhood
and can't help but smile
I remember myself as a pre-teen
the quietest one around
When I approached my teen years
I was love sick and confused
and as those years ended
I was broken down and bruised
I am entering adulthood now
and starting a new life
with hopes of being someone's mommy
and even someone's wife
I've come to terms with everything
that's happened in my past
Now I can find true happiness
within myself at last!
